The Wood County Committee on Aging is committed to enjoy, enrich, and explore this season of life by providing many daily entertainment, activities, health, financial, delivery and social services as well as support groups for Seniors and loved ones. We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to share their time and enthusiasm! There are many areas in which volunteers are used in a wide variety of interests for as little as one hour a week. Northwest Ohio Christian Writers

We are a group of writers who gather to sharpen writing skills and encourage one another. We range from authors of multiple books, to writers of letters to the editor. Meetings are casual, and include an educational session on the 4th Fridays of January, March, July, and September (at Dayspring, BG). We hold a retreat in May, and a seminar in November.

BG Teen Central

BG Teen Central is an after-school program for local Jr. High students to participate in diverse programs, volunteering, mentoring, games and tutoring. We promote suicide prevention, confidence, self-awareness for teens and preparation for high school. Help support us by attending our Spaghetti Fundraiser Dinner (Silent Auction & 50/50 Raffle) on 3/26/11 from 5pm-7pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Pre-sale: $7 adult/$5 youth (12+). At the door: $8 adult/$6 youth.
